I like to make beautiful, magical, shiny stuff. Urban Faun is where my Pagan and Witchy creative spirit comes out to play. Sometimes I draw, Sometimes I make things from wood, or sew or build. I don’t always know what I’m making next. I can take commissions. If you see something you like, or you have an idea that needs help to happen, message me.
The Circle Art Series
The Green Man was originally created as a logo for the 2017 Australian Wiccan Conference. He was designed to echo the traditional foliate mask but with bright and bold Australian native plants, like kangaroo paw, waratah and blue gum paired with the traditional oak and apple to show the link between the birthplace of Wicca and it’s unique expression here in Australia.
The Greenman was intended to be a standalone design but something in him opened a door to the muse and soon more artworks started pouring out of me. The Greenlady joined the Greenman, followed by the Pentacles of the Elements and the Stag. The muse is not done with me yet as there is still a crowd of sacred animals simmering away in the back of my head.
Urban Faun Art Series
Pan plays his pipes under a wind-swept eucalyptus surrounded by a uniquely Australian landscape. Beneath sleeps the city unaware of the world that awaits just a step away past the circle's edge.
The skyline of city in this artwork is an amalgam of Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne which are the three largest centres of Paganism in Australia. This artwork also gave the name for this site.
Custom Cloaks
These are some of my custom made cloaks. I can make thick, long and warm wool cloaks that can be made to size and customised with your choice of colour, trim and closure. I can also do cloak making workshops at events.
Leaf Pentacle
The idea for this pentacle was buzzing around my head since working on another laser etched project in 2017. It involved puzzling together dozens of pieces of intricately laser cut walnut and maple veneer.
The time and cost to put these together means I only made 8 of them, and because of the way they are made, by switching the different timbers between pentacles, 4 have a walnut design on maple and the other 4 are maple on walnut.
They are 145mm across (about the size of a tea-cup saucer) and 4mm thick. They are subtly decorated with a painted gold edge and they have black velvet on the base.
Custom Wands
These are some of my favourite wands that I have made over the years. These wands are a labour of love and each one is uniquely designed after much discussion, sketching and research. The making of the wand is continuously documented and shared over the whole process as it is important that the eventual wielder is involved and engaged in the process. When a person approaches me with that excited and slightly obsessive desire to have a dream made manifest I could not be happier.
The Child Tarot
This hand drawn tarot deck was designed to be simple and intuitive. Carefully placed spirals, lines and circles appear throughout the deck to lead you to the heart of the meanings for each card. This is a personal exploration to see how much can be stripped away to reveal core symbolism. The Child Tarot is a playful, clear and sometimes bluntly honest tarot.
